LOST magazine was the first, and most would say best D.I.Y. punk and new wave fanzine from Lexington, KY. 12 Lost issues exist from 1980-1983, and document the most creative and volatile era of Kentucky's punk history. The fanzine gives us hugely important, and rarely seen coverage of late 70's and early 80s punk groups from Lexington and the surrounding scenes of Louisville, KY, Cincinnati, and Dayton, OH.
All 12 issues count over 250 pages, and have been carefully reproduced as accurately as possible to the originals. All 12 issues are housed in a hand made slip cover box set with a bonus DVD featuring some of the earliest footage from Lexington punk and hardcore live gigs.
Contents includes interviews, photos, histories, live gig reviews, record reviews, and columns covering Kentucky bands such as Active Ingredients, Babylon Dance Band, Blinders, Chinese, Endtables, Insurgents, No Excuse, Plastic Fangs, Red Interiors, Skull Of Glee, Synthetics, The Electric Company, The N, Thrusters, Users, Vale of Tears, Your Food, and more.
Non-Kentucky content includes live reviews and writing on The Clash, Ramones, Boomtown Rats, The Beatles, T-Rex, The Kinks, Flipper, Dementia Precox, Ama-Dots, Erector Set, X (LA), Fleshtones, The Jam, REM, English Beat, Talking Heads, and many more.
The DVD includes footage of Active Ingredients, Chinese, Dementia Precox (Dayton, OH), Thrusters, and Red Interiors.
